We consult with your health care provider and insurance company to draw a plan of care suited to you and your needs. When families pay privately for Personal Assistance Services, they have more freedom in customizing service plans to their needs and preferences. However, Bliss Personal Care works with many payor sources that help individuals and families take advantage of personal assistance services in south eastern Wisconsin. These include Medicaid, veteran's benefits, long-term care insurance, and personal injury settlements. Because Bliss Personal Care Agency is Medicaid-certified, Wisconsin Medicaid will pay up to 100% for Personal Assistance Services.

What are the steps necessary to establish home care?

Our managers will gather basic information to determine whether our services are a good fit for your needs. We will then schedule a no-charge, no obligation assessment in your home to create a care plan tailored to your needs and wishes. We value your autonomy and independence. We will start with enough care to keep you safe and comfortable and will adjust your care plan as your circumstances and needs change. We carefully screen our caregivers as if we were sending them to work in our own homes. We do one-on-one interviews, looking for friendliness, flexibility and maturity. All caregivers must pass reference checks and background checks.

We believe in learning as much as possible about each applicant before they ever go to a client's home. Therefore, we conduct small orientations rather than lecture-style mass hirings. Our orientations include training in infection control, and other relevant topics. We also explain our high standards for good work habits and respectful, professional behavior. Home care should make your life easier and more enjoyable. Therefore, we hand-pick our caregivers to provide comfortable, friendly service.
